Interprofessional Education is about health professional program students learning how to practice together effectively in collaborative teams, where all members of teams are respected for their knowledge and skills. The patient's (client's) views are solicited and valued within the team, resulting in improved communication and working relationships.

Student Associations

LIHSA is a group of enthusiastic students who are passionate about interprofessional education (IPE) and collaborative practice (IPCP). They represent students from UWO and Fanshawe College who are enrolled in, or are considering enrolling in, health-related programs.

The National Health Sciences Students' Association (NaHSSA) has been created at the University of British Columbia in 2005. Now after about two years, indeed, the association has expanded beyond its headquarters and includes over 20 local chapters all around Canada
